Landrum

Eula Nodine Smith, 88, of Landrum died May 24, 2009 at her home. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Horace L. and Amanda Giles Nodine and widow of John James Smith.

She was formerly employed at South Carolina Elastic. She was a long time member of Landrum First Baptist Church where she was a former worker in the Children's Sunday School Department, worked in the Intermediate Training Union and was the pianist for the Adult Department for many years.

She is survived by a son, James Theron Smith and wife Anne of Pisgah Forest, NC; a daughter, Taska Maybry and husband Leroy of Landrum; four grandchildren Sonya M. Ledbetter and husband Billy, Dwayne Maybry and wife Kim, Amanda S. Siniard and husband Aaron, and Maggie Smith; seven great grandchildren William, Matthew, and Andrew Ledbetter; Bailie and Evan Maybry; Nyx and Lillie Siniard; a brother Horace L. Nodine, Jr. of Landrum and a sister, Janet Norton of Old Fort, NC.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Allen and Boney Nodine.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm Wednesday at Landrum First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the church conducted by Rev. Andy Allen. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
