Marion Woodrow Rhymer

Marion Woodrow Rhymer, 80, of Inman passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  He was the son of the late Columbus Woodrow and Edna Betsy Harris Rhymer and husband of the late Alta Mae Blackwell Rhymer.

He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.  He retired from Bommer Industries as a Supervisor after 47 years.  He enjoyed gardening, camping and loved spoiling his girls.  

He was survived by a daughter, Kathy Anders (Steve); a brother, Billy Rhymer; two sisters, Susie Condrey, Linda Anderson (Jack); a granddaughter, Stephanie McSwain (Byron); a great granddaughter, Mollie and his beloved companions Precious and Daisy.

He was predeceased by a brother, Charlie Rhymer, two sisters, Joyce White and Elizabeth Mahaffey.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Friday, April 7, 2017 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Petty Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Matthew Bishop and Rev. Scott Lewellen.  Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jeff and Kay Ballard.
