Ruth (Raburn) Pittman

Ruth Raburn McSwain Pittman, 90, of Columbus died May 4, 2010 at Smith Phayer Hospice House.  She was the daughter of the late Charles Arthur and Blanch Wagner Raburn and was first married to Olan McSwain and after his death she married the late Jessie Pittman.

She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and worked in textiles until she retired.

She is survived by a son, Dale Raburn McSwain (Jane) of Rutherfordton; a daughter, Ramona McSwain Pack (Ray) of Columbus; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Hoyt and Joe Raburn and a sister Margaret Raburn.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00 noon Friday, May 7, 2010 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon in the church conducted by Rev. Gary Lockee and Dr. Michael Keel.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
