Jimmy and I are 2nd cousins. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I grew up listening to him play his fiddle at home. Just wanted you to know I am thinking about you all. My cousins from Eastanollee told me just recently. Love June Rumsey Avis

Jim will be missed much, he was a great person and a wonderful musician, but most of all, he was my friend. We had a lot of good times sitting on my back porch talking about the old times, I will miss that, and when you least expected it, the phone would ring and it would be Jim, always a sweet surprise, I will miss those days. Jim was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, always bragging on his kids and grandchildren. Jim your finally going to be with that beautiful wife again, tell Jane I said hello. I will miss you my friend...

I'm so sorry to hear about Jimmy's passing. We grew up 2 houses apart and enjoyed many hour of playing ball, etc. Also, I would go to Jimmy's and he would play on the fiddle. I guess I was his trial audience. Please know that you all have been and will continue to be in my prayers. May God richly bless you, comfort you, and give you peace and rest.

We were so sorry to learn of Jimmy's passing. We were high school classmates (Stephens County High School Class of 1966). We double dated in high school and Arvle was Jimmy's college roommate for Freshman year at Georgia Tech. Jimmy was a fun person. We loved to hear him play "Orange Blossom Special." He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to your family.
