I first met Dora many years ago when she was a teller at the bank in Landrum. She was a true friend and I will never forget her. I was a mother of three small children from Roebuck, S.C. needing to cash a check so I could purchase a meal. No one would cash my check until she stepped in her teller's booth and motioned me to come over. She held the check up and said "This lady's husband works for this bank in Spartanburg S.C. and I believe it should be cashed". Yes Dora will be missed by all who knew her.
Please accept my Sympathy in the loss of your loved one. May our lord and savior be with each one of you.

My O My all those memories playing softball. We were winners mainly because our pitcher could place the ball where she wanted the batter to hit it. That pitcher was Ms Dora Arledge. Dora was a friend on and off the field. I consider her family my family, we spent many hours together as families do, eating and sitting around just gabbing. I sure do miss all the fun we had. Where did the time go? I hope one day we all will be together again playing softball. I will see you then. Love to you and all your family. God promised he would take care of us, God is good.

I have great memories of Dora! Playing so many softball games together is my biggest one. She will always be remembered as the best slow softball pitcher; our opposing teams never wanted to face her! I can still hear laugh and see her smile!
She loved her family and I know all of you will be missing her. Please know I am thinking of you guys and wish I could be there to show my condolences. Love each of you and I am sending you my hugs!
