Billie (Hurt) Murphey

Billie Hurt Murphey, 58, of Landrum passed away on July 6, 2016.  She was the daughter of Woodson W. Hurt of Sumter and the late Shirley Stephens Hurt and wife of Dell Murphey.

She was the Secretary and Receptionist at Landrum High School and was a member of Landrum  First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Dell Murphey; her father, Woodson W. Hurt; two daughters, Linsey Murphey Cooke (Jason) of Spartanburg; and Lacey Murphey of Landrum; three sisters, Kathy Robinson (Robbie), Darlene Buchko (John) and Kim Hurt all of Sumter; and a grandson, Blaise Cooke.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday at Landrum First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Danny Burleson.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
