William "Peanut" Price, Jr. , 63, of Landrum, SC, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was the husband of Jessica Lynn Zicafoose Price and the son of the late William Marion Price, Sr. and Brenda Joan Farmer Price.
He was recently retired from the City of Landrum, as the Streets Department Supervisor and he started a new chapter of his life as a proud partner in the building and opening of the Happy Hearts Nursery. There wasn't a kid that he didn't spoil and was known as "Papa Peanut". He was also a member of the Landrum Youth Sports Association for forty plus years, where he served as the President for many of those years. Peanut was a loving, devoted husband and father. He loved his family and his community. He had a heart of gold with no filter. He loved coaching ball, trout fishing and trips with his family.
In addition to his wife, Jessica and his mother, Brenda, he is survived by his sons, Chris and Kenwrenn Price; a daughter, Alicia Price (Scott Flynn); step children, Cheyenne and Kale Padgett; brothers, Mark Price (Teresa) and Scotty Price, sister-in-laws, Norma Price and Kayla Castaneda (Oscar); grandchildren, Jazmine Price (Carlos Melendez), Hadley Price (Jordan Webb), Brianna Johnson, Jordan Johnson and Lilyianna Price; great grandchildren, Asher Melendez and Lanie Nichole Webb; nieces, Misty Burgess, Crystal Robinson, Felicia Walker, and Kimberly Price; his father-in-law, William Zicafoose and his mother-in-law, Tina Shaw. He was also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his wife, Angela Price; a grandson, Kenwrenne Redwine; brothers, Tony "Bug" Price and Jerry "Chinamen" Price.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Petty Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Petty Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Chuck Mullinax and Pastor Robert Farmer.
