William McCarter Obituary
William P. "Billy" McCarter, 92, of Campobello passed away on September 7, 2021. He was the son of the late Perry Lee and Ruby Strange McCarter and husband of the late Nancy Farmer McCarter.
He was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church and worked as a farmer and in construction. He service in the US Air Force during WWII.
He is survived by a son, Mike McCarter (Paula Flowers); a sister Jane Mahaffey two granddaughters, Kelly Taylor (Mike) and Christy Fox (Frank); and eight great grandchildren, Haley, Briana and Greg Fox, Carson, Lincoln, and Olivia Taylor; Joshua Murphy and Megan Briggs.
He was predeceased by a daughter Yvonne Ravan; two sisters, Thelma Vickers and Elaine Staddon.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.
