Wendy Dawn Johnson

Wendy Dawn Johnson, 48, of Tryon, NC, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Born in Georgia, she was the daughter of Renee McCoy McFalls and the late Rickie Blaine McFalls. Wendy enjoyed crafts, cosmetology, and teaching. Wendy was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Campobello, and she also enjoyed weekly bible studies at home.

Surviving are her husband, Martin Johnson; her mother, Renee McCoy McFalls; a daughter, Madison Yellen; a son, Brendan Hinson; a brother, Blaine McFalls (Cathy); a nephew, Cayden McFalls; a niece, Addison McFalls; aunts, Lisa Brown and Julia McFalls; uncles, Jeffery Waldrop and Kevin Brown.

Wendy was predeceased by her father, Rickie Blaine McFalls, her uncle, Donald McFalls, her aunt, Lori Waldrop, and her cousin Cody Brown.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Victory Baptist Church of Campobello, 175 Hines Road (Off of Redland Road) with Rev. Jack Howard and Eddie Nicholson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
