Wanda Faye Denton Wilson, 75, of Mill Spring, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Tryon, NC, she was the daughter of the late George William Denton, Sr. and Ruth McAbee Denton. Wanda loved the beach and collecting "Gone with the Wind" dolls. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and her two dogs, Leo and Olive. Wanda worked as an administrative assistant with Blue Ridge Log Cabins for over 30 years. Wanda was a member of Big Level Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Pat Wilson; a son, Ricky Wilson (Tamara); two daughters, Jennifer Potter and Anna Nelon (Michael); two brothers, Billy Denton (Darlene) and Bobby Denton; a sister in law, Lynne Hamrick (Bob); six grandchildren, Kristen Wilson, Bonnie Pietro, Dallas Wilson, Caleb Potter (Hannah), Sebastian Potter (Lauren), and Easton Nelon. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Bentley Pietro and Eliza Potter.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Shehan and a brother in law, Larry Wilson (Shelba).
A memorial service will be held at 3:30p.m., Monday, May 11, 2026 at Big Level Baptist Church with Rev. Sean McKaig and Mr. Phil Scoggins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:30p.m. to 3:30p.m. prior to the service.
