Vernon Charles Parnell, 72, of Landrum, passed away on April 5, 2025. He was the son of the late Charles Fulton and Della Mae Williams Parnell and the husband of the late Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Parnell.
He was an auto mechanic for many years and had a passion for classic muscle cars. He enjoyed walking around Landrum with friends, listening to the Oldie Goldies music, but he absolutely loved his "Mountain Dews". His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved them dearly.
He is survived by his daughters, Kim Brewer (David) and Amy Waldrop (Ron); grandchildren, Skylyn Sizemore (Coleman), Kennedy Brewer, Parker Hannah, Payton Hannah and Patrick Hannah; great grandchildren, Denver James Sizemore and Paisley Mae Hannah; brothers, Marvin and Bill Parnell.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Minnie Parnell.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6:00-8:00PM at Petty Funeral Home.
