Vernon M. Kilpatrick, 50, of Campobello, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his father; Thomas Kilpatrick; his mother, Linda Kilpatrick; and his sister; Nancy Perry.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Sabrina Kilpatrick; his daughter, Caitlin Kilpatrick; his three brothers, Kenneth Kilpatrick, James Kilpatrick, and Henry Kilpatrick; his sister, Linda Stovich; and his beloved, big-eared kitten, Thirteen.
Vernon was known by family and friends as a person with a larger than life personality. He said whatever was on his mind, never failing to make family and friends laugh or shake their heads in disbelief. Although he was machinist by trade, Vernon was a “jack of all trades,” always working on different projects. Besides spending time with family and friends, he loved to ride his motorcycle, listen to music, tell grandiose stories from different periods of his life, and sip on his beer of choice, Busch Light.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 2:00-3:00PM at Petty Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to his wife and daughter to help cover Vernon’s final expenses.
