Thomas Earl Hines, Sr.

Thomas Earl Hines, Sr., 88, of Campobello, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022.  He was the son of the late Lawrence G. and Queenie Eppley Hines.

He was a member of Redland Road Baptist Church.  He was the owner and operator of John and Jason's Showboat.  He loved going out and watching the deer and especially loved riding around with his buddy, Walker Williams.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas Earl Hines, Jr. and Alvin Gene Hines; daughters, Joyce Ann Johnson, Linda Frady, Brenda Cooper and Janice Pitts; step sons, Ernest "Strawberry" Earl Davis (Marci), Harold "Bodean" Davis; twenty eight grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Malcom and Doug Hines; a brother, Lawrence Hines; three sisters, Agnes Constance, Florence Turner and Martha Suttles.

The family will receive friends at Redland Road Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2022. A memorial service will follow at Redland Road Baptist Church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Upstate Community Hospice House, 260 Fairwinds Road, Landrum, SC 29356.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Janice Pitts.
