Terry Corlett Sinex, 72, of Hendersonville, NC was born July 27, 1948 in Alexandra, VA and made an exit on April 25, 2021.
Terry said he never wanted an obituary (who does?), so were going to call this a biography with an unfortunate placement.
He graduated from Cowpens High School in 1966, where his love for football didn't stop. He then attended Spartanburg Technical College where he majored in data processing. After a wild hair to travel, he drove across the country to California in his 69 Gran Torino Sport. We're still not sure how the car survived. Terry then worked for Norfolk Southern from 1983-2002, where his dream of retirement came true.
During that time he started his family of three boys. He spent their beginning years traveling and teaching them to fish - which he loved. Hendersonville, NC, O'Charley's and Golden Corral will miss him. We considered making a go fund me page for these locations because we highly expect that they will experience significant hardship as the result of the loss of Dad's business.
His absence will also ache in the hearts of his three sons, Terry, Jonathan and "Duck" Sinex; two brothers, Jody and Keith Sinex; his eight grandchildren and his many friends.
The family will be gathering at Petty Funeral Home in Landrum, SC on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Garden.
