Tena C (Martin) Sawyer

Tena Martin Sawyer, 97, of Campobello passed away on  October 27, 2024.  She was the daughter of the late Dearl and Nettie Ridings Martin and wife of the late Charles Sawyer.

She was the oldest member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church.  Tena retired as a seamstress from Lyman Mill.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Sawyer (Mary) and Bruce Sawyer (Valeria); a sister Judy M. Price; three grandchildren Rhonda Glover (David), Angie Smith (Shane) and Tanya Roberts (Landon); seven great grandchildren Lyndsey Ballenger (Adam) and Kyle Glover; Katie Smith Hill (Dylan), Sawyer Smith, Haley Roberts, Caroline Roberts and Jayce Roberts; and two great-great grandchildren Banks Ballenger and Butler Ballenger.

She was predeceased by brothers and sisters Beulah Ballew, Ruby Witworth, Lois Thomas, Howard Martin, Dewey Martin, J.D. Martin, Ralph Martin and Jerry Martin; and a great-great grandson Baylor Ballenger.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Walnut Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Lewellen.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends following the burial in the church.
