Sue Buchanan

Sue Broadrick Buchanan, 99, of Fountain Inn, SC passed away on April 13, 2020.  She was the daughter of the late Jesse McAfee and Laura Cordelia Bryant Broadrick and wife of the late Reuel H. Buchanan.

Sue had a lifelong history of participating in the United Methodist Church and raised her children in church.  She enjoyed singing in church choirs and in weddings.  She met her husband, Reuel at Sue Bennett College in London. She was a supporter and defender of her family and was always available to those who needed a wing to shelter under.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Buchanan of SC; four grandchildren David Buchanan (Stephanie) and Becky Buchanan of KY; Christine M. Douglas of CA; and Mark Buchanan of NY; five great grandchildren John Combs Buchanan, Emma Grace Buchanan and Trosper David Buchanan all of KY; Cole Douglas and Owen Douglas of CA.  Also left to cherish her memory are many numerous friends in Kentucky and upstate New York.

She was predeceased by a daughter Emily B. Millbyer and a son John W. Buchanan.

A service will be held at a later date in London, KY.  She will be buried in the AR Dyche Memorial Cemetery in London.
