Sarah "Shelle" Nelson Russell, 36, of Forest City, passed away on February 9, 2025. She was the daughter of Gregory Steven Nelson and Rachel Louise Fox Moore.
Shelle was an amazing mother, daughter, friend, sister, who loved and cherished her family. She was an amazing kid who grew up, sharing her love of God, which carried into her two girls lives. She was saved and baptized at El Bethel of Greer, South Carolina, and continued to attend church along with her girls. From a very young age, she found her love of horses along with rodeos. She developed a passion for barrel racing, bull riding, poles, mounted shooting, and also trail riding in Cherokee. She was an amazing and very caring person who worked very hard to provide for her family. Not only was she an amazing mother, but a beautiful person. She never failed to light up a room with her contagious smile and happy energy. Shelle was all for jokes and never left opportunity for a dull moment to see someone else smile.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Callijo Dakota Murray and Harley Jean Russell; a sister, Teresia Diane McClendon, her step father, Rick Moore and her fiancé, Austin Gray.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00PM at Petty Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 at 11:00AM at Beulah Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Todd Fletcher.
