Sarah Charlene (Sawyer) Coates

Sarah Charlene Sawyer Coates, 71, of Inman, SC, passed away on February 20, 2025. She was the daughter of the late William Claude and Beulah Maggie Rainwater Sawyer.

She enjoyed fishing and reading and worked hard to provide and care for her girls. Sarah thought that there was nothing more important than family and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Brady (Randy) and Stacey Patterson (Olin); grandchildren, Michael Lovett (Caitlin), Chandler Brady (Morgan), Ethan Brady, Landen Brady, D.J. Patterson and Ian Patterson; great grandchildren, Madisyn Lovett and Emersyn Brady; a brother, Tommy Sawyer and a sister, Lovera Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, William Claude Sawyer, Jr. and James Sawyer; sisters, Geraldine Henderson and Louise Benfield.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 6:00-8:00PM at Petty Funeral Home.
