Sandra Halford Reid

Sandra "Sassy" Halford Reid, 69, of Columbus, NC went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2024.  She was the daughter of the late Ed and Nellie Halford and joins in Heaven her loving husband Kenneth Reid, sister Candy (Don) Stanfield, and brother-in-laws: Ricky Searcy, David Reid and Steve Reid.  She was a proud Polk County native and worked many years on the board for the Polk County Soil and Water Conservation.

Cherishing her memory are her son and daughter-in-love Travis and Sarah Reid, her brothers Wayne (Martha) Halford and Calvin Halford; her sister Kim Searcy; siblings-in-law Larry Reid, Virginia "Jackie" Reid, Carolyn Reid, Roland Reid, Tim Reid, Jeff (Wanda) Reid, Albert  (Dorothy) Reid  and Chet (JoAnn) Reid; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am Friday, August 2, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church.  A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the church conducted by Pastor Nick Vance.  The family will have a private burial at Polk Memorial Gardens.
