Russell Lee Everatt, lovingly known as “SuperMan,” of Landrum, SC, passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 86. Born August 18, 1938, in Huntington, WV, to Sidney and Marzetta Everatt, Russell was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His kindness, wisdom and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew him.
A hardworking entrepreneur, Russell built a career in the automotive industry, always finding ways to help others. He had a passion for golf, boating, and playing cards, but above all, he cherished time with family. His faith brought him peace, and his love for others left a lasting impact.
Russell is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Greene Everatt; his children, Lori Everatt Greene (Jonathan), Christy Everatt Christensen (Carey), and Sydney Everatt Howdle (Dave); his grandchildren, Ryan Greene (Aliaa), Ashlie Ashton (Josh), Justin Greene (Alejandra), Emilee Russell Lee with Sparky II Greene, Nanci Greene, Krysten Files (Taylor), Corey Christensen, and Russell Coleman Christensen; his great-grandchildren, Nataly, Noah, Henry, Brynn, Beckett, Maria and one expected in June, Antonella, along with a loving extended family.
He is reunited in heaven with his first wife, Nancy, his parents, and great-grandson, Bennett Files. Russell’s wishes were to be cremated and placed with Bennett when the family is ready.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 17, at Glassy Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Greenville, SC, in honor of his great-grandson. https://rmhc-carolinas.org/ Russell’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him
