Ruby Taylor Ferverda Obituary


Ruby Taylor Ferverda, 94, of Campobello passed away on March 9, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Augustus Hugh and Annie Mae Plexico Harmon and wife of the late Louis Joe Taylor.  After the passing of Louis, she married Lore Ferverda.

She was a member of Landrum Presbyterian Church and worked as the plant nurse at Landrum Mills for 32 years.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and a beloved resident of White Oak Manor.  The family is appreciative of the love and care Ruby received from the staff at White Oak Manor over the last seven years; and most recently from Agape Hospice.

Ruby is survived by two daughters, Joan Burns (David), Terri Hendrix (Brad); a step son Mike Ferverda (Linda); numerous grandchildren and step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.

She was predeceased by two sons Michael Taylor and Bill Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Petty Funeral Chapel.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Tom Malone.  Burial will be in Nazareth Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 260 Fairwinds Road. Landrum, SC 29356.
