Roger "Dale" Brackett, 69 of Campobello, SC, a beloved son, uncle, and friend, peacefully departed this life on July 22, at the Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum South Carolina.
Born on December 29, 1955, Dale was the cherished eldest child of Barbara Thompson Brackett and the late John Walter Brackett.
A proud alumnus of Wofford College, where he majored in History and a lifelong fan of the Wofford Terriers, attending countless games with unwavering enthusiasm. Known for his diligence and integrity, Dale's career spanned several years in retail before becoming an employee of Holiday Inn Express, where he earned the prestigious "Hotel Person of the Year" award.
Dale was a passionate history and movie buff, and an avid collector of comic books and music. He found joy in attending concerts and cherished the time that he spent with his nieces and nephews, always eager to hear about their latest endeavors. With his strong will and love of life, he fought a brave battle with Parkinson's Disease.
In addition to his father, Dale is preceded in death by grandparents Walter and Leora Brackett, Paul and Gertrude Thompson (Ayers).
Dale leaves behind his loving mother, Barbara, his brother Steve (Cathy), his sister Kathy (Kevin) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 10:00-11:00AM at the Gramling Methodist Church Social Hall. A celebration of life service will follow in the church at 11:00AM conducted by Rev. Rick Brown. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
