Robert Lee Edwards

Robert Lee Edwards, 90, of Greer, SC, passed away on January 30, 2026. He was the son of the late Roy Lee and Annie Lou Davis Edwards and the husband of the late Lenora Hattie Salters Edwards.

Robert was a hardworking and kind-hearted man who lived a life in simplicity, respect, and joy, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, humor, and love for the outdoors.

He was a man who believed in doing things right and doing them well. His dedication to hard work defined him. Whether he was lending a hand, offering a smile, or simply doing what needed to be done, Robert earned the respect of everyone who knew him.

Robert found pleasure in the simple moments of life. He loved fishing and spending time by the water. He enjoyed nothing more than riding his golf cart around the farm. In the winter, you could often find him sitting by the fire.

He had a great sense of humor and a kind word for everyone. He treated all people with respect and carried himself with a gentle, down-to-earth spirit that made others feel at ease.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Lee Edwards, Jr. and Mark Edwards (Angela); his daughters, Joann Miller and Cynthia Jackson; grandchildren, Daphne Miller, Marcus, Shavon and Terrell Edwards, Carmen and Brandon Jackson; a great grandson, Jaylyn Edwards. He is also survived by his loving friends and caregivers, Grady Suddeth and Kelly Ann.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Douglas Edwards; brothers, Fred, Leroy, Willie and Charles Edwards; sisters, Sarah Rhodes, Mildred Wood, Ann Brewton and Irene Edwards.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 1:00 - 2:00PM at Petty Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held at 2:00PM conducted by Rev. Lee Edwards, Jr. Burial will be in the Landrum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
