Robert Alan Bundy

Robert Alan Bundy,  74, of Tryon passed away on February 21, 2022.  He was the son of the late James W. and Marion Caires Bundy and husband of Deborah Kernan Bundy.

Known to his family and friends as Big Bob, he was a leader, mentor and coach on and off the courts, throughout his life long career at Mercer and, later, always looking for the next big challenge, in opening Iron Key Brewing Company. 

He is survived by  a daughter Karen Bundy; a son Christopher Bundy (Brelann Lawler); four grandchildren Kernan Bundy, Anna Rose Bundy, Robert Buttitta and Lochlan Bundy; a brother William Bundy (Sue); and a sister Betsy Isenhour (Mark).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, when the tennis courts are open, the trails are ready for hiking and the monarchs are out, at Iron Key.
