Rhonda Gossett

Rhonda Jo Harris Gossett, 65, of Mill Spring, NC, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2024. 

Born in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Garland B. and Lorene Wright Harris. Rhonda loved her family, especially her grandchildren, being present at all of their events. She also shared her love with other children, babysitting many of them in the recent years. Rhonda was a member of Big Level Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

Surviving are her husband, Terry Gossett; a son, Chad Gossett; a daughter, Tonya Odel (John); two brothers, Charles Harris and Randy Harris; three sisters, Shirley Holtzclaw, Mary Burke, and Janet Jones. Also surviving are three grandchildren, James Odel, Joshua Odel, and Kensly Gossett. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Harris. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Big Level Baptist Church with Rev. Sean McKaig and Rev. Raymond Byrd officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Petty Funeral Home. 

Burial will be in Big Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
