Rev. Ray A. Allison

Rev. Ray A. Allison, 82, of Roebuck passed away on November 12, 2023.  He was the son of the late Herman Ray Pitts and Leota Parlier Allison, step son of Ervin Allison and husband of Jeanette Fowler Allison.

He was the Pastor of  Redland Road Baptist Church for 29 years.   He owned Ray Allison Construction. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeanette Fowler Allison; two daughters Melissa "Missy" Jackson and  Renee A. Bright (Ralph); a sister Brenda Blackwell; three grandchildren Bryant Jackson, Ray Crocker and Alex Bright.

He was predeceased a granddaughter Morgan Crocker and brothers and sisters Elizabeth Blackwell, Ella Mae Cooper, Pauline Jennings, Irene Pettit, Alex Pitts, Gerald Pitts.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. John Parker, Rev. Travis Parker, Rev. Joe Foster, and Rev. Steve Price.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
