Obituary

Our Lord received Rebecca McKinney “Becky” Morton on November 30th, 2022.

During her early life, she was a wandering free spirit that could be found behind the wheel of a commercial truck or hanging from the handlebars of a Harley. She traveled the nation working and exploring becoming especially fond of the Atlantic Ocean and its beaches. Even after settling down, she could be found with her cat, Greystone, watching automobile racing and documentaries on destinations she had not yet visited. Known as Becky to many during her lifetime, she most enjoyed the title of “Grand Mommy” for the past 14 years. She was incredibly proud of her eleven grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to bend someone’s ear to tell all about them.

Rebecca was the daughter of the late Dorothy Weedman (Charles) and Frank McKinney. She is survived by three children; Casey Crew (Monica); Brandon Crew (Whitney); Megan Blalock (Nelson); three sisters; Pat Tinsley; Linda Sullivan; Donna Etheridge (Michael); and two brothers; Tim McKinney (Nicole); Chris McKinney; eleven grandchildren; Sierra, Riley, Samuel, Jacob, Nathan, Savanna, Conner, Malachi, Alexis, Jackson, and Piper.

In accordance with her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held with family at a later date.
