Raymond Junior Blackwell

Raymond Junior Blackwell, 78, of Campobello, passed away on February 9, 2024.  He was the husband of Polly Ann Ridings Blackwell and the son of the late Dennis Floyd Blackwell and the late Elzie Mae Fisher Blackwell.

Raymond was born again and baptized at New Prospect Baptist Church.  He enjoyed listening to country music, especially country southern gospel, watching "Gunsmoke" and collecting things.  He was a kid at heart and loved to laugh.   He never met a stranger and was everybody's Papa. Most of all, he loved his family and his family was his life.

In addition to his wife Polly, he is survived by his daughters, Karen B. Pruitt (Douglas) and Tina Blackwell Hart (Mark Davis); brothers, Walter and James Blackwell; sisters, Mary Blackwell, Mildred Blackwell and Frances Ponder; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Jeffery Glenn Blackwell and brothers, Joe and Johnny Blackwell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 6:00-8:00PM at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be private.
