Preston Jerome Wilkins

Preston Jerome Wilkins, Sr, 46, of Landrum passed away on September 18, 2021.  He was the son of Harrison McDowell and the late Diane Wilkins.

He was reared in the home of John Wilkins, Jr.  He was a loving and devoted father; a hardworker, and very funny.  Always the life of the party.  He worked at Bright's Creek for 7 years.

He is survived by five children Kylee Wilkins, Haven Wilkins, Gia Wilkins, Preston Jerome Wilkins, Jr. and River Wilkins;  two step children, Wade Smith of Tryon and Deveny Littlejohn of Boiling Springs; six sisters, Tawonya S. Vernon (Richard) of Inman, Tara Simmons of Landrum, Stephanie Jackson (Evan) of Ohio, Cristal McDowell of New York, Keasha Briscoe of New York and Chakya Wilkins of Tryon, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Diane Wilkins and his brother Gregory Wilkins.  

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Petty Funeral Home.
