Polly Blackwell

Polly Ann Blackwell, 74, of Campobello, SC, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Upstate Community Hospice House, Landrum, SC. 

Born in Spartanburg Co., she was the daughter of the late James Lamar and Mary Lavinia Jackson Ridings. Polly was the widow of Raymond Blackwell, who passed away  February 9, 2024. Polly loved to read and especially loved her grandchildren. 

Surviving are two daughters, Karen B. Pruitt (Douglas) and Tina Blackwell (Mark Davis); a brother, William Ridings; three sisters, Mary Fowler, Jean Pruitt, and Tonya Ridings. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Polly was predeceased by a son, Jeffery Glenn Blackwell; a brother, James Ridings, and a sister, Lula Mae Griffin. 

A funeral service will be held at 3:00p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024 at Petty Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. - 8:00p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Petty Funeral Home.
