Peggy Hyder Carswell

Peggy Hyder Carswell, 70, of Landrum passed away on April 8, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Lee and Elsie Leila Jones Hyder and wife of Michael Carswell.

She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was retired from Bank of America.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Carswell; two daughters LeAnne Carswell and Sandy Clayton; six brothers, Tony Hyder, Steve Hyder, Clark Hyder, Dink Hyder, Phillip Hyder and Larry Hyder; three sisters Frances Parker, Debra Staggs and Jody Lockhart; and three grandsons Colin Andrew Clayton, Brooks Michael Clayton and Colt Carswell Justice.  

She was predeceased by two brothers Berton Hyder and Jerry Hyder.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Chuck Mullinax.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 123 W Antrim Dr. Greenville, SC 29607.
