Myrtle Plumley Burrell, 85, of Landrum, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at her home.
Born in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Annie Emery Plumley. Myrtle enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and puzzle books. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, John Burrell; sons, Tommy Lee and Robert Lee; daughters, Virginia Lee and Paula Pop; step sons, Joel Burrell and Johnny Burrell; a sister, Bessie Moore; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.
Myrtle was predeceased by five brothers, Grady, Carl, Boyd, and Clyde, and two sisters, Betty and Bertha, and a son, Calvin Lee.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, June 2, 2025 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
