Obituary

 Michael Jerry Burns, 66, of Campobello, SC died Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Upstate Community Hospice House, Landrum, SC.

Born in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Alvin Ray and Ruby Marie Kirby Burns. Jerry loved farming, antiquing, and yard sales. He also enjoyed coon hunting. Jerry was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Gowensville.

Surviving is the mother of his children, Rita Burns; a son, Justin Burns (Corrie); a daughter, Crystal Denton (Jason); two brothers, Danny Burns and Joel Burns (Lori); three grandchildren, John, Aaden, and Amelia. Also surviving are three nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday May 3, 2022 at First Baptist Gowensville with Rev. Chad Rickenbaker officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, May 2, 2022 at Petty Funeral Home.
