Matt McCarter

Matt McCarter’s love of life didn’t come to end at the hour of his death. Matt passed away on September 23,2023 at the age of fifty-three, after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his loved ones, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

The simplest pleasures in live brought great joy to Matt. He loved a quiet evening at home surrounded by his animals, especially his faithful bulldog Pudge. He loved spending time with his granddaughter Linnie and watching his son Peyton play local venues with his band.  

He will be forever missed by his Parents, Jerry and Mary McCarter, wife of thirty-one years Allison McCarter, son Peyton McCarter (Meagan) and granddaughter Linnie McCarter. The funeral services will be held at First Baptist Gowensville on October 7, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 3pm to 4pm and funeral to follow.
