Mary Greene Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Greene, 93, of Landrum, SC passed away on April 2, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Rev. James A. and Hattie Pruitt McClure. She was married to the late Lionel P. Greene.  
Mary is survived by her son Ronnie Turner, daughter Linda Larson, and three grand-daughters; Athena Campbell and husband Josh, Hayley Tindall and husband Eric, and Candice Puchir and husband Jay. She was the proud Great Grandmother to Sarah, Amelia, Dylan, Emary, Greyden, Lucia, Abby, Danielle, Sofia, Madison, Zoey, Zachary and Katelyn.  She also has many nieces and nephews that were important in her life.  
She was predeceased by sons-in-law Sammy Davis and Perry Larson, daughter-in-law Pam Turner, granddaughter Leslie Davis, great-granddaughter Daphne Tindall, her brothers, Paul, James, J.C., Billy, Andrew, Ray and Carroll McClure, and her sisters, Clara Mae Perry and Grace Barnett. 
Mary grew up in Oak Grove and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. As an adult she attended Tryon and Landrum Church of God, but always called Oak Grove home.  Mary retired from the Village Restaurant in Tryon, where she was a cook for 21 years, and made lifelong friendships while there.  
Services will be held at Petty Funeral Home on Monday, April 8 at 11:00 am conducted by Pastor Floyd Perry.
