Martha Blackwell Fitch

Martha Blackwell Fitch, 73, of Landrum, SC passed away Friday, July 26, 2024. Born in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ruby Rhymer Blackwell. She was the wife of the late Horace Lee Fitch. She worked at Bi-Lo for 32 years.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Laura Shields (Eric) Reid, and Cindy Painter; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Kimberly) Adkins, Caleb (Kayla) Painter, Maranda Adkins, Megan Lovett, Samantha Reid, and Ashton Reid; 11 great grandchildren, Jackson, Kennedy, and Lincoln Adkins; Carter, Delilah, Serenity, and Mark Painter; Ava, Emma, Charleigh, and Greyson Lovett; two sisters, Patsy (Billy) Walker, and Brenda Farmer; two stepsisters, Teresa (Mitchell) Durham, and Margie (Larry) Moore; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by, two brothers, Marshall and Ronnie Blackwell; a sister, Ruth Belue; and one stepsister, Sheila Barnhill.

Her family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Petty Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 11:00am at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
