Gerada Marcelle Hyder, 70, of Greenville, entered eternal rest on October 21, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of the late Grady Andrew and Mariette Schoenaerts Hyder. A proud graduate of USC Columbia, Marcelle enjoyed a successful career as a Systems Analyst with MetLife before her retirement.
Quite artistic, Marcelle was an avid writer and photographer. She shared her short stories and life experiences with a unique perspective, while capturing life’s unpredictable beauty with each photograph. Marcelle brought joy wherever she found herself. She lit up a room when she entered and brought positive energy to every gathering, whether with family, friends or strangers. Her friendships were plentiful, and the bonds she forged are unbreakable. As a mentor, she profoundly impacted many lives, encouraging, inspiring and changing the lives of others.
She is survived by her three brothers, Joe Hyder (Cathy), James Hyder and Justin Hyder (John), her two sisters, Maria Fuentes (Lee) and Michelle Jackson, her sister-in-law, Lori Hyder, and numerous nieces and nephews she loved so much.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Grover Jay Hyder and John Hammett Hyder.
Marcelle will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
