Louise Worley Sowell

Louise Worley Sowell, 94, of Inman, died on July 31, 2025 at her home. A native of Canton NC, she was the  daughter of the late Robert Haskew and Mary Alma Tillery Worley and the wife of the late Joseph Huey Sowell. 

She was a homemaker and former school teacher and a member of Gramling Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Katie (Bruce) Woodfin and Lucy (Ty) Granger; five grandchildren, Nick Woodfin, Joe Woodfin, Ann Louise Granger, Mary Callie (Miles) Robinson and Adaline Granger.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by an identical twin sister, Leura Worley Stubbs and twin grandchildren, Rob and Will Granger.

The family wishes to thank Susan Harris, Christine Clements, and the staff of Absolute Care Solutions for making it possible for Louise to stay in her own home. In addition, the family would also like to thank Richard Miller, RN at Agape Hospice of South Carolina for the compassionate care he delivered with Christian love. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on  Thursday August 7, 2025 at Gramling Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. Will Brown. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside in the social hall.
