Lisa Renee (McDowell) Wofford

Lisa Renee McDowell Wofford, 57, of Landrum, passed away on January 22, 2025.  She was the wife of James "Jaime" E. Wofford III and daughter of Sandra Hudgins and the late Jearl Dean McDowell.

Lisa was known for her nurturing spirit, her infectious sense of humor, and her incredible strength through both the joys and challenges of life. She will be remembered not just for her love, but for the lessons she taught us all about grace, resilience, and the power of a caring heart.

She had a warrior spirit and a servant’s heart. She was a loving mother, an adoring wife, and a loyal friend. She loved serving others alongside her church family, especially with her brothers and sisters in the choir.

She cherished every moment spent with her family, imparting her wisdom, love, and compassion to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her husband, Jaime, she is survived by a daughter, Skyler Wofford and a son, James Wofford IV; sisters, Holly Gugenheim and Nicky Messer and a brother, Jeff McDowell.  She was also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00PM at Petty Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00AM at Petty Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Kevin Dalton.
