Linda (McClure) Kuykendall

Linda Marie Kuykendall passed away and met her Lord and Savior on June 8, 2022.  Linda was the daughter of the late Ulysses M. & Ethel Pittman McClure.  Linda was married to her soul mate and love of her life, Joe Allen, for 54 years.  Through the good years and bad, they had each other until the very end.

Linda and Joe Allen raised two children, Allen Kuykendall and wife Beth of Landrum and Amy Burnett and husband Tim of Lyman.  They also raised two grandchildren, Melissa Kerr and husband Jimmy of Landrum, and Jorge Avila, of the home.  They also have two additional grandchildren, Preacher Bill Kuykendall and fiancé Hannah Rickenbaker, and Anna Kuykendall, both of Landrum.  

In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Carol McClure of Anderson and Mike McClure and wife Gail, of Lyman.

Linda was a graduate of Spartanburg Regional Nursing School.  She loved her years as a nurse and continued this career until it was cut short by a severe back injury.  She spent the remainder of her life being the motivator and driving force behind the businesses owned by the Kuykendall Family.  Her guidance and financial planning will be irreplaceable and truly missed.  

Linda's passion was also her ability to play the piano.  She played for multiple churches throughout the community, starting as a teenager and continuing into her 70's.  Linda's devotion to her family and Lord will always be remembered and cherished.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am - 12:00pm Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Landrum.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm conducted by Preacher Bill Kuykendall, Preacher Michael Pittman, and Preacher Lynn Stewart.  Pallbearers will be Allen Kuykendall, Bill Kuykendall, Anna Kuykendall, Melissa Kerr, Jorge Avila, and Jimmy Kerr.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 The family is at the home of her son, Allen Kuykendall.
