Mrs. Linda Sue Cline passed away on March 15, 2026, at her home in Greer, SC with her loving husband by her side. She was 80 years old. Linda was born in Indiana and raised in Gilbert, WV by her grandparents. Linda was the wife of William Paul Cline for 63 years.
In addition to being a loving homemaker, and wife of a retired Air Force Serviceman, Linda worked at several jobs throughout her life. She retired in 2010 from QS1 in Spartanburg, SC. During her life, she and Paul lived in England (UK) and multiple locations throughout the US including West Virginia, Michigan, Idaho, Arizona and Colorado prior to settling in South Carolina. Linda loved quilting, multiple types of needlework, reading, and was an excellent cook.
Linda attended multiple Presbyterian Churches throughout her life.
Linda is survived by her husband William Paul Cline and sister Glenna Fowler of Evansville, IN as well as other relatives and friends.
Linda is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Edra Fowler, Ashville, KY, along with her siblings; Albert Franklin Fowler, Jr., James Elbert Fowler of Asheboro, NC, David Lee Barker of Tampa, FL, and Margaret Ellen (Fowler) Gomez of Gautier, MS.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 starting at 11 a.m. at Petty Funeral Home, 124 N. Trade Avenue, Landrum, SC 29356. The service will be officiated by Pastor Mark Bishop, First Baptist Church Landrum.
