Linda Forrester Belue

Linda Forrester Belue, 77, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on July 23,2023.

She was the daughter of the late W.H. "Dub" and Elsie Burrell Forrester. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Melvin Belue, two sons, Kenneth Belue of the home, Jeffrey Belue and wife Amy of Inman, a daughter, Elaine Miller, and husband Torrey of Landrum, a sister, Joyce Stephens, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was pre deceased by one brother, Larry Forrester.

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was previously a member of Glassy Mountain Baptist Church where she, despite being legally blind, served as treasurer of her Sunday School class, wrote and directed many Christmas plays, taught and sometimes directed bible school, played the piano and organ and sang in the choir.

The family will recieve friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, July 24, 2023 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
