Larry Thomas Wright, Sr.

Larry Thomas Wright, Sr., 76, of Tryon, NC, passed away on May 7, 2026. He was the son of the late Thomas Oliver and Margaret Louise Wofford Wright.

Larry was a quiet, mild-mannered man who cherished the simple things. He found joy in gardening, working in his yard, and tinkering with vehicles. He always believed in the value of hard work and continued to work until he simply couldn't anymore. Music was a big part of Larry's life. He had a passion for playing the guitar and mandolin and enjoyed traveling to play at various music venues.

He is survived by his sons, Larry Thomas Wright, Jr., and Tim Wright; a brother, Johnny Wright; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Pamela Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Johnny Lee Wright, and a brother, Tommy Wright.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, 8931 Highway 11, Campobello, SC, conducted by Rev. Michael Owenby.
