Kathleen Price Culbreth

Kathleen Price Culbreth, 92, of Landrum passed away on February 2, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late James H. and Annie Burriss Price and wife of the late Wilbur Jones Culbreth, Jr.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Landrum where she enjoyed the Dorcas Sunday School class.  She retired from Belk after 25 years, but continued to shop there as her hobby.

She was the loving mother of Susan Culbreth Allison and husband John and her two sons who preceeded her in death Danny and Michael Culbreth.  She is also survived by two daughter in laws Peggy Thomson and Shelby Hughes Culbreth; a sister in law Anne Culbreth and many nieces and nephews.  As the matriarch of her family, she enjoyed entertaining and having family gatherings.

She was predeceased by her sisters and brother Myrtle P. Smith, Genelle P. Phillips, Minnie P. Gosnell and Odell Price.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm Monday, February 6, 2023 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Mark Bishop.   Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
