Karen Marie Bailey, 57, of Landrum passed away, on Friday, July 4, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Rex Dupree Bailey and the late Carrie Lee Cooper Bailey.
Karen's sudden passing left a profound emptiness in the lives of those who loved her. As a devoted mother and grandmother, her greatest joy stemmed from the cherished moments spent with her grandchildren, filled with laughter and play. She found enduring comfort and companionship in her beloved dogs, who accompanied her through every challenge.
With her free spirit and zest for life, Karen thrived when barefoot, radiating pure joy. Her laughter and warm personality made her a beloved presence at the Burger King where she worked for many years. Customers and coworkers alike recognized her unique voice, embodying a spirit as unforgettable as the meals she served.
Her remarkable ability to connect with everyone made each person feel valued and understood. Karen's boundless kindness embraced everyone with an open heart and genuine interest. Throughout her life, she remained unwavering in her beliefs, never sacrificing herself for acceptance.
Her legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew her, as they carry forward the love, joy, and authenticity she shared with the world. Karen was more than just a mother, sister, or friend; she was a guiding light whose spirit will continue to inspire those she left behind.
She is survived by her daughter, Cassondra "Cassie" McClure; a son, Michael Shane Pace; brothers, James Dupree Bailey and Daryl Lee Bailey; a sister, Teresa Lynn Bailey; Grandchildren Gracelyn Eudy, River Moss, Colton Pace and Madeline Pace.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother Harold Dean Bailey.
The family will have a gathering of family and friends from 4:00-6:00PM on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 243 Dublin Lane, Columbus, NC 28722.
