John M. Strange

John Milton Strange, 79, of Landrum went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2024.  He was the son of the late Rev. John Benjamin and Rachel Jones Strange and husband of Peggy Louise Foster Strange.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Landrum.  He served in the US Navy and retired from Carolina Tire.  He enjoyed his days serving his neighborhood, community and family.  He had a profound bond with all the family dogs; Alec, Brandon and Fee-Bee.

He is survived by his wife Peggy F. Strange; a daughter Rhonda Bishop (Mark); three sisters Jennie Turner, Martha Gaston and Linda Strange; two granddaughters Jordan Boyd (Grant) and Caroline Bishop; and a great granddaughter Eleanor Boyd.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00pm Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Landrum.  A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm at the church conducted by Rev. Mark Bishop and Mr. Grant Boyd.
