Jo-Retta Cartee Obituary

JoRetta Ward Cartee 67, of Inman entered her eternal rest on April 3,2024 at her home. She was the wife of Carl Cartee and the daughter of Billie and Bennie Schrimsher and John Ward.

She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Landrum where she served joyfully from organizing dinners and plays, to decorating, to teaching the kids, to serving meals to the shut ins. She had a servants heart and loved serving the Lord. She leaves behind a testimony of God's grace and what it means to find the JOY in every moment, no matter the circumstance. 

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one sister Cindi Harvey(Alan) of Pauline, her three children, Joey Cartee(Tab) of Campobello, Justin Cartee  (Holly) of Inman , and Caitlin Lovett (Michael) of Wellford. And six grandchildren Hayden, Brayden, Madi, Charlotte, Elijah, and Lincoln. . Along with her nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Monday April 8, 2024 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm, at Bible Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 Conducted by Dr. Tommy Turner

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bible Baptist Church 330 W Finger St. Landrum, SC 29356
