Jeremy Simmons

Jeremy David Wayne Simmons, 45, of Campobello, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Upstate Community Hospice House, Landrum, SC, surrounded by his family and friends. 

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Janie Simmons McMurray and the late David Simmons.Jeremy loved his family and his doodle bugs. Jeremy enjoyed being outdoors, especially riding motorcycles and four wheelers. He also enjoyed music, playing the guitar, and singing.He was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and attended Parkway Baptist Church. 

Surviving are his wife, Misty Simmons; a son, Joshua Simmons (Emma); a daughter, Anna Simmons; his mother, Janie McMurray (William) ; two brothers, Darren McAbee and Brian Harrelson. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Carter and Ellie. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Parkway Baptist Church with Rev. John Smith officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Petty Funeral Home. 

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
