Jefferson Lee Bruce, 63, of Inman passed away on January 20, 2026. He was the son of the late Wendell Kent and Sylvia Lockhart Bruce and husband of Sherry Barton Bruce.
He was a self-employed contractor. He served in Children's Ministry for over 20 years, ministering in Children's Shelters and Pastoring a Children's Church. He also ministered in Nursing Homes and on WJFJ Radio Station. Jeff also took the Gospel Message to prisons, alongside his spiritual mentor, Nelson Strange.
He is survived by his wife Sherry Barton Bruce; three sons Jeremy Caleb Bruce and wife Jessica, Stephen Jacob Bruce and wife Charity, and Zachary Kent Bruce and wife Emily; four brothers Wendell Kent Bruce, Jr, Daniel Bruce, Michael Bruce and David Bruce; a sister Sandra Burns Workman; and twelve grandchildren Skyhlynn, Willow, Saylor, Shepherd, Harmony, Noah, Melody, Jeremiah, Sable, Symphony, Lorelai and Liberty Bruce.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday, January 30, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Landrum. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary, conducted by Rev. John Smith. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
