Jean (Chesser) Walden

Jean Chesser Walden, 93, of Landrum passed away on May 13, 2018.  She was the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Linora Katie Morgan Chesser.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Landrum and was a retired Registered Nurse.  She was a head nurse at East Louisiana State Hospital in Jackson, Louisiana for many years.

She is survived by her five children, Marcus Rupert Walden, Jeanne Tremone Middleton, Mallory Mitchell Walden,  Angela Paulette Nodine and Kim Darlene Hawkins; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Jason Nodine.

The family would like to thank the caregivers who took care of Mrs. Walden, especially Shannon Jolley.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm Thursday, May 17, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Landrum.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm at the church conducted by Rev. Mark Bishop.  Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
